First Post… am I blogging it right?

I moved to Singapore from Canada last December (2014), and have been in the process of exploring South-East Asia for the first time.

Life has been pretty incredible these past nine months (time really flies!). Beaches, Boats, Brunches, and more travel then I have probably done in the past five years combined. Well, that’s maybe a bit of an exhageration as I have always tried to make travel a priority. But living in Singapore, with Bali and Thailand and Borneo on your back doorstep, it’s not just a priority but a way of life.

The adjustment period was a bit challenging at first. It’s hot. And humid. Traffic flows in the opposite direction. The language is foreign (English + Singapore = Singlish). And you are far away from everyone you know – even people who were already far away are still far away! The only time you get to connect with the folks back home is really early in the morning, or really late at night.

But of course, like all change in life, you adjust. You learn to love the different. You start to relish in the things that now make up your every day reality that would have been inconceivable a year ago (see: Yacht Parties).

Today, I just feel incredibly grateful to be in a position to experience everything this amazing corner of the world has to offer. And I am proud of myself for taking a chance on the unknown and trowing myself into this adventure.

Peace all,

Bedrock

  1. My brother recommended I would possibly like this blog.

He used to be totally right. This post actually made my day.
You can not consider simply how so much time I had spent for this info!
    Thank you!

  2. Hiya, I am really glad I’ve found this info. Nowadays bloggers publish only about gossip and internet stuff and this is actually irritating. A good web site with interesting content, this is what I need. Thank you for making this web site, and I will be visiting again. Do you do newsletters? I Can not find it.

  3. Awesome read. I just passed this onto a colleague who was doing some research on that. He actually bought me lunch because I found it for him! So let me rephrase: Thanx for lunch!

  4. Hello there. I discovered your website by means of Google whilst looking for a related topic, your website came up. It appears good. I have bookmarked it in my google bookmarks to come back later.

  5. Hello Web Admin, I noticed that your On-Page SEO is is missing a few factors, for one you do not use all three H tags in your post, also I notice that you are not using bold or italics properly in your SEO optimization. On-Page SEO means more now than ever since the new Google update: Panda. No longer are backlinks and simply pinging or sending out a RSS feed the key to getting Google PageRank or Alexa Rankings, You now NEED On-Page SEO. So what is good On-Page SEO?First your keyword must appear in the title. Then it must appear in the URL.You have to optimize your keyword and make sure that it has a nice keyword density of 3-5% in your article with relevant LSI (Latent Semantic Indexing). Then you should spread all H1,H2,H3 tags in your article.Your Keyword should appear in your first paragraph and in the last sentence of the page. You should have relevant usage of Bold and italics of your keyword. There should be one internal link to a page on your blog and you should have one image with an alt tag that has your keyword….wait there’s even more Now what if i told you there was a simple WordPress plugin that does all the On-Page SEO, and automatically for you? That’s right AUTOMATICALLY, just watch this 4minute video for more information at. Seo Plugin
